GSV Role
The GSV at Bushwick helps run the after-school program by planning events, preparing curriculum, running workshops, offering individual mentoring and tutoring, and assisting with overall development of the program.
Bushwick Leaders High School serves at-risk youth with histories of poor attendance, low academic achievement, and low participation in youth development activities. The program provides these youth with a web of supports to help them get back on track academically and re-engage with their school and community. The passion and dedication of the staff expressed through relationships and programming allows young people to explore their potential and reach for higher expectations as they grow in confidence and leadership.
