GSV Role

There are several GSV at Good Shepherd Center.

GSV Activities Services Coordinators help coordinate daily activities with the youth in the residence, including recreational activities, crafts, games, studying and tutoring, and other group activities. GSV Teacher Assistants provide assistance to classroom teachers in the supervision of students in the classroom, time out, or study hall.

Good ShepherdEstablished in 1864, Good Shepherd Center is a non-profit residential treatment center for adolescents, ages 13 to 21, who are suffering from severe emotional and behavioral problems. Located on 70 wooded acres in Baltimore County, the Center provides therapeutic services and education in a residential and day school setting.

Good Shepherd Center is dedicated to the belief that no matter how severe the symptoms, all children can be reached and succeed in having productive lives. The Center’s mission is “Love in Action” and the belief that “One person is more precious than a world.” Good Shepherd Center focuses on creating an environment based on respect and caring which empowers its residents to reach their maximum potential for wholeness.
