We are excited to announce our GSV Cycling for Service campaign and invite you to join us on our journey!
Watch Celina and Saul move for justice
Every day our Good Shepherd Volunteers act on their commitment to social justice by working at nonprofit placements serving women, children, and adolescents experiencing poverty, violence, and neglect. Our #CyclingforService campaign is an opportunity to celebrate and shine a light on their incredible work empowering communities, living out our simple (but powerful!) calling to "just love," and making the world a better place.
But their work is only possible with the support of generous donors like you.
For the next few weeks, we will be highlighting the impact of our volunteers and the long-lasting imprint of GSV on our alumni, and the communities they support. It’s all leading up to a major (and literal) cycle for service on Saturday, July 12. GSV Board member and alum Saul Martinez (06-07) will be embarking on a one-day bike ride from New York City to Lake Minnewaska--a journey of 150 miles!--to raise awareness and funds for this life-changing work. He’s riding so that we can enable young people to do this important work for years to come.
Cycling for Service is our biggest fundraiser of the year. But you don’t need to hop on a bike to support us—simply make a gift to GSV. Every single dollar that you can donate–no matter the amount–will make a huge difference. Your contributions will help support our volunteers so they can build the capacity of organizations working in education, youth counseling, juvenile justice, and public policy and advocacy
If you can, please give today to help us meet our $20,000 goal to secure the future of GSV and give our volunteers the tools for a life-long commitment to social justice.
