We know that many people graduating from college want to contribute to the solutions to social justice issues, but figuring out how and where to start is daunting. This program empowers volunteers to lead a life seeking social justice through action.

Our application for the 2020 – 2021 cohort is now closed. Please check back in the fall to apply for the 2021 – 2022 year.​

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until our placement sites are filled. We encourage you to apply as early as possible.

 A completed application includes:
        o    Online application
        o    Resume
        o    3 References: 1 professional, 1 personal, and 1 communal (a non-relative you have lived with in some capacity)
        o    Academic transcripts

Good Shepherd Volunteers connects recent college graduates to one-year, full time volunteer opportunities serving women, children, and adolescents affected by poverty, violence, and neglect. Developing relationships with under-resourced communities empowers volunteers to grow in a knowledge and faith that inspires them to lead a life of seeking justice. GSV has placements in New York, New Jersey and the Washington D.C. area in a variety of fields: public policy and advocacy, economic justice, youth counseling, foster care and education.
