Good Shepherd International Justice and Peace

Good Shepherd International Justice and Peace (GSIJP) works to promote justice, peace, and the dignity of girls, women and children worldwide. Through advocacy and direct service, GSIJP seeks to address systemic injustices and empower communities.
GSV Role
​
The Good Shepherd Volunteer at GSIJP – New York supports the team's advocacy efforts by producing reports and communications materials, providing research and logistical support, and fostering strategic partnerships. Through engagement with the United Nations, civil society organizations, and other advocacy forums, the GSV contributes to advancing justice and peace in alignment with GSIJP’s mission. Daily activities might include attending official UN-related meetings in person or virtually, monitoring and taking notes on key points related to agency position papers and global presence, researching relevant justice and peace issues, and coordinating with United Nations member states and agencies alongside other NGOs, community organizations, and advocacy groups.
